About Petra
Hello!
My name is Petra Stahlová, and I am a pastry chef and founder / owner of a plant-based cooking school located at Chalupa pod Jasany near Slaný (the Czech republic). My journey to this profession has been full of twists and unexpected changes.
Originally, I studied business management and worked primarily in this field until I was 30 years old. However, I have always been drawn to gastronomy. This interest eventually led me to make a significant career change. I decided to travel to France, where I completed the renowned ENSP pastry school.
After returning from France, I opened the first private pastry school in the Czech Republic, focusing on French patisserie. I ran this school for several years until personal reasons led me to adopt a plant-based diet. This decision inspired me to open a purely plant-based cooking school.
At our Chalupa pod Jasany, we offer pastry, baking, and cooking courses focused on plant-based cuisine. The courses are designed so that participants can easily replicate all the recipes at home. Therefore, I also run this e-shop, where they can purchase all the necessary ingredients and tools we use in the school. The range is not extensive, but it includes everything essential.
For course participants, I offer accommodation directly at the Chalupa, where we have beautifully renovated facilities to ensure everyone feels comfortable and can fully enjoy the course experience.

Interesting facts about me: I love gardening and growing vegetables, although I often end up feeding more slugs and small pests than myself. In my free time, I am very active. I enjoy long hikes in the mountains and am currently training for my first Half Ironman race in 2025. In 2026, I hope to complete a full Ironman. I believe in the importance of quality sleep, which is why all my courses start at 10:00 am. Although I teach mainly patisserie, I hardly ever eat desserts. My favorite food is a crispy French baguette with Naturli butter. |
